WORKSHOP SAFETY RULES

1. Always listen carefully to the teacher and follow instructions.

2. No Running, playing or pushing in the technology room.

2. Always be patient, never rush in the workshop.

3. Use correct tools for your work and handle in a safe manner.

4. Never use any tools or machines unless you have been properly instructed by the teacher.

5. Do not leave any tools or materials, and wastes on workbench, machines or floor after working.

6. When carrying tools, sharp edges should be pointed downwards.

7. Use hand tools carefully, keeping both hands behind the cutting edge.

8. Report any damage to machines as this could cause an accident.

9. A machine must always be operated by one student at a time.

10.Never distract anyone when they are using a piece of machinery

11. Put all tools away when finished using them.

12. Report all accidents to my teacher immediately, no matter how slight.

13. Keep hands away from moving/rotating machinery.

14. Follow the specific safety instructions when you use an electric machine.

15. Tie back long hair, remove all hazardous jewelery when using machine tools.

16. When finished, put away all the materials and make sure the workbench is clean.
